So the New Year is here and the lottery is at 900 million…. as of now.
I know the chances of winning are like almost zero but we’ve all heard it before……. SOMEBODY’S GOTTA WIN!! It cant’ hurt to try and it certainly is fun to imagine what you would do if you hit the jackpot. I think of all the people I could help (besides pay off debt and take care of those closest to me). Wouldn’t it be awesome to make a difference in someones life who is in dire need? I already made a list…. just in case the impossible actually happens. I almost never play the lottery and I’m not a gambler but this time I’m in! HAHA! Hey, you never know!!
How about you? Have you thought about what you would do if you won a hundred mil? What would be the first thing you would do? Would you tell anyone and if so, who? My guess is many friends will come out from hiding. Friends or acquaintances you may or may not remember. People are funny when they find out you have deep pockets…. VERY deep pockets. Do you think money will change you? It will change how people view you I’m sure. However, your “real” friends, your trusted friends will remain just that…..genuine and authentic. As we age those trusted friends are few. I’ve heard of lottery winners losing everything. We all think, “How could that happen?” Well, it certainly is possible. Some people get caught up in the moment and spend, spend, and spend till it’s all gone. Geez, I can’t even imagine what that would be like. To have something so awesome happen in your life than have it gone in a moments time. Thank God we value people more than money or things. Don’t we? Well I like to think most people do 🙂
I’ll close now but keep this in mind; be careful what you wish for, it just may come true!
“If we had no hope- for cure, for winning the lottery, for falling in love, for the end of war, for being free of abuse, or for having food, warmth, clothing, and shelter- we would have no reason to go on. What you hope for doesn’t matter, but rather the essence of hope itself. Bernie Siegel
