Walnuts! During my research I found that walnuts provide a high percentage of the daily recommended value of plant-based omega-3 fats ( only 1 quarter cup)! Protein, fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals….. How can you go wrong with this simple super food?
Chia seeds! Yes, another source of omega-3’s. This super food also contains, iron, calcium, and antioxidants that helps to keep your blood sugar levels balanced. Try them in your cereal or salad!
Seaweed! I admit, this one was a bit of a challenge for me however definitely worth a try. Seaweed contains a compound called alginate that can help to prevent fat absorption in the body. Are you heading to the health food store now that I mentioned the obvious “fat absorption” that everyone is dying for…… like its a magic pill. It is! Only in a mother nature way!
