On a whim, off -the -cuff!

In other words, JUST WINGING IT! Have you ever tried “winging it”? Maybe you’re afraid of doing something that you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t, for fear of rejection or failure. This is true with so many people. Taking risks isn’t always easy but I believe risk taking is well worth your time. In taking risks you may discover something new about yourself that could be life changing! “On a whim” or “off the cuff” can also mean something in reference to a last minute decision that you have an urge to try or go for, but stop yourself due to time constraint or some other excuse. Like Nike says, “Just Do It”! Unless it involves something that is harmful to you or another person then no, don’t do that. That would be silly…… and stupid.

Improvise like you know what you’re doing! Make a choice to do something that is a little crazy (not dangerous). Be spontaneous and step outside of your comfort zone for a little while and enjoy not being your normal self for a moment. Think about it. Think of what you have always wanted to do but haven’t. What is it?  Maybe it’s something you have wanted to say but haven’t got the nerve. Say it.

You need a break, you need a change in routine by mixing it up a bit. So go ahead and wing it! Say something off the cuff or do something on a whim! Everybody can enjoy a little excitement in there lives every now and then. Now is the time!

Again, I repeat…. I’m not suggesting doing or saying something that is hurtful to you or others! That would be preposterous! I’m encouraging you to try something new! Something out of your ordinary self! To not be “you” for a minute. No, you can not plead insanity for doing something you wouldn’t normally do if it goes south! Choose your actions with common sense not 2 sense (haha). Ok maybe that wasn’t funny, but I made myself laugh! I may be the only one reading my blogs so I can be silly if I want to.

Here’s the deal though, it must be within 24 hours. If you wait to long you wont do it, you’ll loose your courage. It’s great to have long term goals but this isn’t one.

Have you thought about it? I’m a bit of a risk taker. Some risks I’ve taken have turned out to be not in my favor, but I’m glad I did. There are also a few that have been in my favor…. obviously always happy to take those risks when the outcome is awesome. I never thought of the outcome, I only lead with my heart. Sometimes that’s good and sometimes, not so good.

I still believe in taking chances and winging it. I love to live life as if I can’t loose. Life is full of obstacles, potholes, road blocks, and every now and then we get side tracked, knocked down, and pissed on. So why not do something out of the norm? Why not try something new? Guess what? We will one day face that fork in the road and then what? Change in direction, like it or not. Don’t be so serious all the time. Loosen up your tight ass or your “up tight self” and enjoy each day as if it’s your last!

Live, love, honor and laugh out loud! Prioritize You

About Cassandra Pavolic

As a retired performer for 25 years transitioning careers has been difficult. I truly enjoyed my career as an aerialist performer. I was fortunate enough to see the world, traveled many places and met people from all cultures. I learned a tremendous amount about life and people during my years traveling than I would in a school setting. The one thing I took away from being on the road is that no matter what ethnic background you are, we are all so similar. A smile is a smile in every language (happiness or contentment). Expressions of all emotions have the same meaning around the world. For this reason we are similar, and I somehow find that comforting. I'm now 50! It's hard to believe I'm fifty already! I reflect on my accomplishments as well as my failures up to date. Both are irrelevant to what I value most. I value people and relationships. I value my deity, it is the number one thing that keeps me stable. Being true to myself is a portion of my "food" in regards to my decision making. When I steer away from being my true self I am disappointed. Exercise, taking walks, and being still are another source of "food" in my life. I like to be still, listen and observe all things. I have been this type of person since a young child. Perhaps one of the reasons why I take an interest in Personality Psychology and my recent studies human behavior. I hold an Associates degree in Music/Theater/Dance from Dean College in MA. I quickly realized I wanted to perform, therefore my journey began immediately after graduating from Dean. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer. I am curious, I am persistent and I am passionate. I'm on a mission to be a better person, to help those who want to help themselves, and to share my thoughts, opinions, experiences to anyone who gives a damn. All in hoping that what I have to offer will change lives as you learn to keep your priorities in order. And so I started prioritize you.
