Walking, running, lifting weights, zumba dance aerobics, yoga, aerial arts; all wonderful ways to get fit for the body and mind. Any exercise is good for the body & mind really! However, there are a few that aren’t mentioned due to the context or considered “taboo” to even discuss as of now, but hopefully not for long. The two I will be discussing are Pole Fitness and Sexual Intercourse. I am sure there are a few people that are thinking that those two topics are related. They are NOT! Unless you mean as a form of holistic fitness that feeds your body, mind and soul.
Pole fitness is one form of exercise that is rarely talked about and is an awesome way to get fit. I want to express how pole fitness is actually a “workout”! It’s not just for the exotic dancer anymore, it has evolved into a serious core workout. Gymnast, rhythmic gymnast, professional dancers, Chinese Pole , Cirque De Sole have been known to wander into a pole class. But lets talk about the average student with absolutely no background in fitness or sport. The average person who is simply looking to try something other than the typical gym workout can venture into a beginner pole fitness class and truly experience a full body CORE workout! It’s no joke people! If you are looking to try something new and challenging, not to mention “fun” with a few laughs, this is it. Men and women of ALL AGES are dropping in on a pole fit class. There are many styles of “pole” and most people are aware of the “sexy” side of pole. However, just like there are many styles of dance (ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop) pole also offers a variety as well. I ‘m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed, but I will warn you…… you may become addicted! That will be one addiction that’s good for you. Advice: DO NOT let your weight, size, lack of coordination stop you from trying a pole class! Trust me, there are all forms of body’s in a beginner pole class and nobody judges you for your size or capability to perform. Keep in mind that we all have potential! Another note, if you are over weight, chances are if you’re consistent with pole class, you will drop in size dramatically. Here’s the kicker, you won’t even realize your exercising because you’re having so much fun learning. Find a reputable studio with certified/experienced instructors and give it a whirl! I also want to add that there is a whole new world of pole fitness that you may not be aware of. Pole fitness is growing fast. There are pole competitions going on with amazing talent! However, those competitions are for the serious pole fitness artist/performer. If you want to be inspired check out pole fitness competitions even if you’re not looking to get into the competitive side of pole fitness. Absolutely breath taking performances!
Let’s talk about Sex……..Yup, I wrote it, typed it, so I’m saying it. SEX is one great way to get your exercise for Body & absolutely for Mind! Do I need to say more? It’s awesome, it’s healthy, it’s relaxing (even without lighting up that cigarette), and it’s fat burning! Just to make myself clear, I’m not encouraging sex with multiple partners. What I am saying is sex is good and “making love” is better. There is a difference, yes it’s true. If you haven’t experience “making love” with someone you are absolutely positively “in love” with then sadly, you wouldn’t know the difference. It will put you on another high, assuming that your experience with intercourse already does put you on a cloud. Some may say that making love is an art. However you define it, is personal for you. Think about the muscles that are involved. Pelvis thrusting, this can be considered a fairly good ab or core work. Definitely your gluteus maximus muscles are involved! Come on! Seriously, you can work up a good sweat during a love making session! What I’m saying is that not only does it feel good, which is obviously awesome mentally and emotionally, but it truly is yet another way to burn a few calories that has potential to put a big happy face on your day!
